If your BMW or MINI has an NBT EVO (iDrive 5/6), Entry EVO or NBT infotainment system, Apple CarPlay can often be activated afterwards, without extra hardware. The activation is wireless and appears on your original screen. Depending on the software version this is done with a file on a USB stick or with a code via a coding cable.
The free VIN check on this page shows right away whether CarPlay is possible on your car and via which method. You order and pay securely online. After payment you receive your activation with step-by-step instructions. The activation is a one-off (€60 incl. 21% VAT), linked to your VIN and valid for life.
